Late night update

I haven't been blogging for over a week! So I thought it was time for a little blogpost. :)

It's been really busy around here. Opening a real shop is a lottttt of work (and I haven't even really started yet!). But it's the best job I can think of. I'm really happy to have this opportunity!

I'm not only going to sell my own work in my shop. I've been searching for lovely handmade work from other designers and artists from around the world! And I can say I have found some great designers and they were all happy to send me their work so I can sell it! So that's awesome news. Some of them are even making new or custom work for me! I can't really say anything about them until everything is settled, but I can say that I'm going to sell handmade dolls, stamps, cards, prints of illustrations and other artwork, pins, brooches, necklaces, paper dolls, magnets, stickers and more!
I'm not only going to sell these items in my real shop in Rotterdam, I'm also planning on making an international webshop! This will allow you to buy items from the shop, even if you're not able to visit me in Rotterdam. :) But well, I think this is going to take some time.. As I said; it's a lot of work! But I'm excited!

Here are some pics of my midnight drawing. I love drawing at night. Everything is quiet.
The second one is really hard to see, but it's a sketch for a new drawing of a bear singing to her baby. ;)

  1. I love seeing the pencil sketches along with the inked-over drawings. a nice "in progress" shot. congrats on your store! i'm sure the hard work will pay off!

  2. hoo its so nice your work..i really love it.

    hugs from Chile

  3. Lovely drawings Lisa! I am guessing that those are STAEDTLER pens?
    Can't wait to see pictures of your shop, I bet your decorations around the store will be super cute!
    Best of luck :)

  4. Thanks for sharing the "work in progress" drawings...neat to see.

    Can't wait to see and hear more about your new shop!!

  5. @ anika: Thank you! It's also a pleasure for me to see how the drawing 'grows'. ;) It's a great feeling when it's finally finished!

    @ Alita: Thank you! I will go and have a look!

    @ Sarah Alfarhan: Thanks, Sarah!! And they are indeed STAEDTLER pens, haha. ;) Need to buy new ones real soon.. And I'm also very excited to see the shop when it's finished. This weekend we're going to paint the walls & I will make some new pictures then. :)

    @Meeling: You're welcome, haha! ;) Thank you!
